City of Cockburn - Sports Equipment Grant

We’re excited to share that our club has once again received generous support from the City of Cockburn through their Sporting Equipment Grant program.

Thanks to this funding, valued at $1000.00, we’ve been able to purchase essential equipment that will directly benefit our players, coaches, and overall club operations throughout the season.

What We Purchased

With the grant funding, the club has invested in:

• Medical tape and strapping supplies – ensuring our players receive proper injury prevention support, game‑day preparation, and rehabilitation assistance.

• New footballs for training and match‑simulation – providing reliable, professional‑quality balls that help both our men’s and women’s teams train effectively. This is especially valuable for newer and developing women’s players learning core skills.

• A new coaches board – giving our coaching team an improved tool for designing drills, communicating strategy, and enhancing player development during training and on game days.
  
  About the Sporting Equipment Grant
  
  Sport and recreation plays an important role in keeping our local community vibrant and active. The City of Cockburn is proud to have a number of local sporting clubs that provide a variety of sporting opportunities to the wider community.
  
  The Sports Equipment Grant has been developed to provide financial assistance to clubs to purchase new or replace essential sports equipment.
  
  The key focus of the grant is to help upgrade sporting equipment to increase community participation in sport and recreation.
  
  The maximum amount available is $1,000 per year with Council’s contribution not to exceed 50 per cent of the total cost.
